WPO Day 5: Two Flights Down for Event 4

Devaraj Munisekar

Day 5 of the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open has come to an end. Today’s main attraction was the first two flights of Event 4, a $150 buy-in tournament with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and four opening flights.

The morning flight attracted 96 entries with 13 surviving 14 full levels with Daniel Ramirez bagging up nearly 300,000 by the time he was done. The 6pm session drew 127 entries to put Event 4 more than halfway towards hitting the guarantee.

The big run came in the late flight with Devaraj Munisekar (pictured above) going from 170,000 at the start of Level 13 to 426,700 by the time Level 14 was complete. It will be tough for someone to catch him before Day 2.

The last two Event 4 flights run tomorrow, the first at 11am and the last chance at 6pm. In addition to those main tournaments, there is also another $55 Championship Step satellite running at 2pm with five seats guaranteed into the December 14 $190 Championship satellite.
