John Alegria

Players are back in their seats after the dinner break and it seems we missed a major stack on the first walk around. John Alegria was already having himself a nice run this series and he returned from dinner break to a stack worth 275,000. Well clear of second place Josh Lowing.

We have 235 entries in the game and waiting for the official numbers to be released.

Championship: Lowing Eliminates Manjura, Takes Chip Lead

Level 9: 400/800 with a 100 ante

Josh Lowing

Winter Poker Open Event 1 champion Rob Manjura got all-in for about 11,000 from late position. Josh Lowing was on the button and had him at risk.

Manjura: 6s6h
Lowing: AdKd

Runout: 5d4c2sAs9d

Lowing spiked his ace and busted the re-entry winner. The pot was minimal, but added to Lowing’s growing stack. It appears he leads the way, but we’ll take a closer look at counts over the dinner break.

Championship: Lily Kiletto Joins Late

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 400/800 with a 100 ante
Entries: 225

Lily Kiletto

The entry count continues to snowball higher and the prize pool jumped over $700,000 earlier in level. New faces continue to appear and we recently found Lily Kiletto joining us from the east coast of the Sunshine State.

Kiletto has more than $660,000 in career earnings including two WPT final table appearance with her biggest cash coming courtesy of a second place finish in the 2013 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship for $191,000.

Championship: Caracciolo Takes From Raymer

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 400/800 with a 100 ante
Entries: 222

Scott Caracciolo

Greg Raymer is attracting a lot of attention at the front of the poker room and not just by tournament players. Fans are stopping by to watch a few hands but now the 2004 WSOP Main Event champion is concentrating on the action.

We caught he taking a small dip against local regular Scott Caracciolo. With the board reading Th9d5h7dQh, Raymer led out for 12,000 and Caracciolo called. Another player in the hand released and Raymer tabled his flush with 7h6h. A decent hand but second best to Caracciolo’s second nuts Kh9h.

A small dip but “Fossilman” still has plenty to work with at this stage.

Scott Caracciolo – 53,200 (67 bb)
Greg Raymer – 43,300 (54 bb)

A resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, Humphrey is back in the Sunshine State and eying another deep run, a big score and additional player of the year points.

Championship: SHRP Team Member Matt Stout Eliminated

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 300/600 with a 75 ante
Entries: 219

Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Matt Stout recently hit the rail after getting it in good. The board was QsQhJcTs. Stout held 9h8s for a straight and was all-in for about 11,000. His opponent, David Ward, claimed KdJd for a pair and was drawing to a better straight or a boat.

River: Qc

“Fullhouse,” the dealer said calling Ward’s hand.

Stout hit the rail with a laugh while Ward dragged the pot.

Jean “Prince” Gaspard

The board was dealt through the turn and it read AdTd5c7s. There were three players in the pot. Jean “Prince” Gaspard was on the button with about 10,000 chips and the red “All In” button in front of him. There was a player in early position who appeared to have raised the all-in bet to 25,000. Action was back on a late-position player who was in the tank. Gaspard started whistling.

Jean Gaspard whistles

After a couple minutes, the late-position player plopped a stack of gray chips in the pot for an all-in bet and the early-position player quickly called.

“Holy shit,” Gaspard said.

Early-position player: Ah7h for two pair
Late-position player: Ac7c for two pair
Gaspard: Tc9s for a pair of tens

“You need to put a 10 out there, dude,” Gaspard laughed to the dealer.

River: 8c

Gaspard never improved and was eliminated from Flight C of the Championship. The other two players in the hand chopped up the pot.

“I’m supposed to favored in that shit — ace-seven and ace-seven!” Gaspard said playfully as he stood from the table.
