While Igor Tretyakov was going out on Table 22 in 11th place, Justin McNeil was all in for 390,000 against Yazdi Mehta and his slightly bigger stack.

Mehta: 7c7s
McNeil: AcKs

It was a final table race and McNeil needed to improve to double up. The dealer ran out the Ts5s2c3sTh board, McNeil missed it all, and was eliminated in tenth place on the final table bubble.

Yazdi Mehta – 845,000 (28 bb)

Level 22:  15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 ante

Matthew Leecy

Table 21 was playing some huge pots and not many of them made it past the flop. Yazdi Mehta took the lead from Debbie Lee in a pot with 1,400,000 in the middle that went check/bet/fold after the flop.

Soon after, Mehta opened from early position and Matthew Leecy raised to 235,000 from the big blind. Mehta called, the flop was QhTd9h and both players checked. The turn was 7h, Leecy checked, Mehta announced all in, and Leecy called at risk for 1,085,000.

Leecy: AhAc
Mehta: AsJs

Leecy’s aces needed to dodge the open-ended straight draw of Mehta (minus the heart outs) and the 3c river was safe for a huge double up.

Matthew Leecy – 4,630,000 (154 bb)
Yazdi Mehta – 400,000 (13 bb)

Fred Paradis – Eliminated in 12th Place ($8,510)
