Flight C: $350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em
Level 3: 75/150/25 Ante
Entries: 78

One player in the throng of Flight C entries is holding his head a touch higher than the others. That, of course, is Event 1 winner Claudemir Osorio. Osorio, who was born in Brazil but now resides in Orlando, emerged the champion following three days, six starting flights and a 12-hour Day 2 in the $570 opening event.
The field topped out at 698 entries generating a prize pool worth $349,000. Osorio agreed to a six-way, even chop that saw him earn $36,620, a $1,100 seat in the WPTDSTampa Main Event as well as the guitar trophy.
Osorio’s victory in that event seemed destined from the start. During the first few hands of his opening day of play, he peeked down at pocket kings and raised only to see another player move all-in. Osorio called and was crushed as his opponent flipped over pocket aces. As you guessed, Osorio spiked a king to stay alive and eventually parlayed his good fortune into a WPTDSTampa victory.
