Coming as not much of a surprise from perhaps the most active player in the room, Florida’s John Holley is emerging as one of the big stacks early. Shortly after break, Holley was in the big blind. The UTG player popped it to 400 and the player to his immediate left called. The next player up three-bet to 1,100. It folded to Holley and he couldn’t get his 4,000-chip four-bet in fast enough. The UTG and UTG+1 players folded. The original three-bettor didn’t take long to find a fold either and Holley raked the pot.

Holley now sits at about 63,000 chips.

Holley has a decent Winter Poker Open thus far that’s included two cashes — a 14th in the $250 pot limit Omaha and a 17th in the $250 no limit hold’em.
