The first non-hold’em tournament on the Pinktober Poker Open schedule was a $400 Omaha 8/Stud 8 tournament with a fantastic turnout of 57 entries. Chip Phan took the top spot for $3,789 thanks to his chip lead when the last four players made a deal.

Tampa loves some Pot-Limit Omaha and today we have one tournament with four game variations. The $400 Mixed PLO tournament will rotate games between Pot-Limit Omaha, Pot-Limit Omaha 8, Five-Card PLO, and Big O.

Plenty of fun for everyone.

Players start with 20,000 in their stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for the one-day trophy event. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm.

Two flights are down for PPO Event 3 and the last gets underway at 11 am in the Poker Room. The $400 buy-in Deep Stack is only 32 new entries away from topping its $50,000 guarantee and it should get there early today before piling it higher.

Players start with 30K out front and the first 16 levels last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 in Level 17. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as needed during that time.

Flight C will continue until only 12.5% of the field remains and those players will advance to Day 2 tomorrow at noon in the money.

Registration closed for Flight B of PPO Event 3 with another 61 entries to put the total at 118. With nearly $40,000 already in the pot, only 32 new entries are needed in the final flight tomorrow at 11 am. It will get there early.

Flight A of PPO Event 3 ended with eight players advancing to Day 2 on Wednesday at noon. Maurice Haynes bagged the lead with 438,000 against a tough, small group of players.

Flight B is underway with late registration available until 10:30 pm and the last flight starts tomorrow at 11 am with late registration until 2:30 pm.

The second of three flight for PPO Event 3 starts at 6 pm and will look to continue to build in the great start in Flight A. We expect a great field this evening to push the $400 Deep Stack closer to its $50,000 guarantee.
