Brandon Byars

Flight B is closing out Level 4 which means it’s just about time for that first break from the action. The combined count is nearing triple digits and the halfway point to the $100,000 Guarantee.

It appears Brandon Byars is the current leader with more than 60,000 from his 25,000 starting stack. A good start with ten more levels to go.

Fred Paradis bagged up the biggest stack with 338,500 with Herbert Woodbery in second with 190,000.

We will post the full set of chip counts once everything is settled and the numbers are checked.

Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30pm and their day will come to an end after Level 14. Event 3 Flight A: Fred Paradis Leads After Last Break

Fred Paradis

The last break is complete and the 15 remaining players are back in their seats ready to make their way through three more levels.

Fred Paradis is the new leader they are chasing and his 215,000 is the only stack over 200K. Herbert Woodbury is the closest with 170,000 but it is anyone’s game to bag the end-of-day lead.

$300 Omaha 8 (Re-Entry)

The math is complete and Event 4 performed like a champ itself. Without any kind of guarantee on the tournament, it drew 71 entries to create a prize pool worth $17,750 for the $300 buy-in tournament.

The last eight spots will be paid with a min-cash earning $639 and the Omaha 8 champ will take home $6,839 along with the Tampa Poker Classic guitar.

Event 3 Flight A: Down to Two Tables

$100,000 Guaranteed
Structure
Level 11: 1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 ante
Flight A Players Remaining: 16 of 52

They are wasting no time in Flight A. The 52 entries have been whittled down to two tables and 16 players remaining. They will take a break after this level and there will still be three more levels after that.

If they fail here, Flight B kicks off at 6pm.

Herbert Woodbery, Bryce McVay, Derrick Cutler, Mark Wiser, and Lawrence Whyte are still in contention for a Day 2 bag.

Event 3 Flight A: Registration Closed with 52 Entries

$570 Deepstack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed
Structure
Level 10: 500/1,500 with a 1,500 ante
Flight A Players Remaining: 27 of 52

The numbers are in and we had two more players jump in during the break to push the Flight A count up to 52. That’s the perfect pace for the $100,000 Guarantee with three more flights to go, the next up at 6pm with late registration till 10:30pm.

Flight A is down to the last three tables but we expect action to slow now with the average stack around 50 big blinds. They will continue to play until the end of Level 14 when survivors will bag up for a return on Wednesday for Day 2.
